When looking for print online these days you will notice that there are a certain few products that a lot of the main printing companies seem to focus on. Business cards, leaflets and flyers are all incredibly popular print items that all of the main companies will do. But are there any print items that are pretty difficult to find? Well, it depends I think on the type of machines that printers have. and what they use them for. Wide format posters are a good example of this. Companies who have the wide format equipment necessary to do large posters often concentrate on banners printing instead, so may not even offer poster printing even though they will have the gear and the know-how. This can be quite frustrating, especially if it is a print company that you are visiting. Sometimes you can see the machines with your own eyes, yet they tell you that you can’t have a large poster because they don’t make them.

The reasons for this are just to do with speed and efficiency. Busy print companies who do banners are often really pushed for time. Time is, of course, money, as we know. For them to stop the banner print run to print poster paper would mean stopping the machine while changing the media over. In many cases, especially for what a single poster costs, it is just not worth it for them. This holds true for brochure printing cheap as well – speed is the key.

So what other options do you have? Well, you could try Staples or one of the other large chains that offer printing of this type. The problem here is that they are usually very expensive, and will charge extras for various seemingly inconsequential things, adding up to a total that is a lot more that you really need to pay. Unless it’s your only option and you haven’t left enough time to order print online, I really wouldn’t recommend it.

So where to go? The thing to note is that ordering your print online might not take as long as you think. Pro companies can do bespoke poster printing and have the poster despatched to you in a maximum of three working days, if not sooner. Their prices are excellent and their quality is very high, so what have you got to lose? Ordering online is easy and would usually take a leap of faith, but they have such a good reputation that you really have nothing to worry about.
